From her home in Mumbai, Kumari Rao has built a thriving, sustainable brand crafting handcrafted bags and accessories. Starting with ₹10,000 a month, she now earns up to ₹50,000 and supports 25 women with per-piece work, giving them pride and independence.


With Srujna’s support through mentoring and orders, Kumari has scaled her business, gaining visibility through exhibitions and festive projects like Diwali laptop sleeves. She also contributes to Saafkins, promoting menstrual hygiene and ensuring her team stays engaged in meaningful work.

Birkha’s Journey
Wove Possibility Into Every Seam
In 2024, Srujna launched a Silayi Centre in Birkha’s remote village, where she learned stitching, tailoring, and bag-making—turning old clothes into sustainable products.
Where she once had no income, today she earns ₹2,000–6,000 a month by taking custom orders from her neighborhood. More than income, this journey gave her confidence, independence, and a renewed sense of purpose.

Yasmeena’s Journey
From Survival to Movement
In 2020, amid the pandemic, Yasmeena Ayoub began making masks with Srujna, earning ₹4,000–5,000/month. Through their programs, she built skills and confidence.
In 2022, Yasmeena launched her own boutique, now earning ₹20,000-25,000 a month. She trains young women in her village, offering them livelihood and financial independence. Yasmeena’s journey shows that with the right support, transformation is possible and this is just the beginning..

Reena’s Journey
From Loss to Strength
After losing her husband in the pandemic, Reena became sole provider for her sons. With no income, she found hope through Srujna, building skills and confidence via the SuperDidi program..
Today, Reena earns ₹13,000–15,000 a month and dreams of launching her own boutique and coaching center to uplift others, just as she was once uplifted. Her journey is a powerful testament to resilience, growth, and the impact of second chances.

Visakha’s Journey
A Journey from Limits to Limitless
In a remote village with few livelihood options, Vishakha Mourya joined Srujna’s Saphkins Production, earning by making bags from old clothes and promoting sustainability.
With SuperDidi’s support, she overcame shyness, learned stitching, and traveled to Jaipur for work—an unimaginable step before. Her income rose from ₹1,500–3,000 to ₹10,000–12,000 monthly, bringing financial stability and inspiring her community.
